There are very few of us who have not been touched by this devastating illness in one way or another. In Grampian alone over 3,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year, but Aberdeen is the only NHS cancer site in Scotland without a Maggie’s Centre.
To make the new centre a reality, the Monty’s Maggie’s charity needs to raise £3m and is currently one third of the way towards reaching its goal.
Throughout the coming year we will actively support the appeal by completing a number of fundraising initiatives to raise a minimum target of £100,000. There are a number of ways we are asking our staff to get involved:
